Northern Rivers Pathology (NRPS) is the local pathology provider for the Northern Rivers Area of NSW. NRPS laboratories support the Richmond, Clarence and Tweed Valley hospitals, as well as local General Practitioners and veterinarians.

NRPS is a large organisation employing over 100 staff in three laboratories with a total operating budget over $14 million per annum. Over 2.4 million tests are performed each year. Being a not-for-profit organisation all income is used to enhance local health services in the Area.

Two General Pathologists and two Haematologists provide on site consultation throughout the service. NRPS is equipped to provide most diagnostic pathology services, with only very specialised tests being referred to other appropriate Pathology North laboratories. Our laboratories are all fully NATA accredited and we invest heavily in the latest technology to maintain a fast, accurate and efficient service to our clients e.g. Flowcytometry
